LONDON, UK – October 14, 2014 – Major advances in thermoplastic technology will be presented to key Automotive, Aerospace and Energy sector representatives at this month’s International Conference and Exhibition on Thermoplastic Composites (ITHEC), developed through UK and EU public sector-funded projects in collaboration with ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s Hitchin, UK laboratory.

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Hitchin has provided materials and product testing expertise on the increasing application of thermoplastics in these industries. The three technical papers presented at the event will detail significant achievements in developing thermoplastic storage vessels for high pressure hydrogen applications; laser transmission welding of thermoplastic composite structures; and quality control of reinforced thermoplastic pipes through ultrasonic inspection techniques (UIT).

The second annual ITHEC event will be held in Bremen, Germany on 27-28 October 2014.
