AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS – January 27, 2014 – Internationally-recognized Engaged Experts from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s laboratories in Houston, TX, and Hitchin, UK, are to present their latest innovations in Oil & Gas materials testing and qualification at a highly-regarded ASM International seminar. The event will be held on February 4th and takes place in Houston, a global hub for O&G operations.

Industry peers attending the seminar will include materials users, producers, and manufacturers. The focus will be on high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) materials, deemed critical to future O&G operations as Majors explore and produce in deeper, colder and more extreme environments.

Dr. Rod Martin, Division Director UK at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½, will deliver a paper entitled ‘Functional Evaluation of Polymeric Materials Under HPHT Conditions’, where he will outline the latest cutting-edge techniques developed by ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ to test and qualify polymers intended for use in hostile, deepwater environments.

Colleagues from ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Houston will be present during the exhibition to discuss the latest techniques, methodologies and equipment in O&G materials testing developed across the ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ platform with delegates.

Other presentations will be delivered by speakers from organizations including Honeywell Process Solutions and Texas A&M University, and topics cover design, materials selection, corrosion resistance, and metallic and polymeric materials.
