The new laboratory features state-of-the-art, mobile control systems for monitoring pressure and temperature that have been designed and developed specifically for the new laboratory. ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Hitchin’s existing HPHT facilities have now been consolidated into a single purpose-designed facility, improving efficiency and customer lead times.
Rod Martin, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s Executive Vice President, Oil & Gas, says: “ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Hitchin is a world-leader in Oil & Gas non-metallic materials testing and product qualification. Doubling the number of pressure vessels within the facility will ensure that we continue to meet our Oil & Gas customers’ growing needs for non-metallic materials testing.”
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Hitchin currently conducts numerous industry-recognized testing and qualification standards, including NORSOK M-710 for testing non-metallic (polymer) sealing and ISO 23936 parts one and two for qualifying non-metallic materials in equipment for Oil & Gas production environments.
ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s CEO, Charles Noall, will host the opening ceremony on October 21, to be attended by key clients. This event will then lead into ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s Oilfield Engineering with Polymers 2014 conference (formerly the MERL conference), held in London, UK, from October 21-23, 2014.
