ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Houston’s ISO 17025 reaccreditation provides global Oil & Gas clients reliability in technical competence of laboratory management systems to produce valid data and results in testing and calibration services. ISO 17025 requirements for testing laboratories are more stringent than ISO 9001, which is a generic standard for quality management systems applicable to all organizations. The reaccreditation includes an extended capability in fracture mechanics testing and corrosion testing of coatings and coated metals.
The new ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Houston facility, which represents the company’s largest single-site investment, has increased its headcount to 108 employees since launching in July 2014.
Rod Martin, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s Executive Vice President, Oil & Gas, comments: “The size and scope of facilities at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Houston means that the site is increasingly becoming a central hub for Oil & Gas Prime projects. Extending these capabilities through our ISO 17025 reaccreditation reflects our ambition to continue expanding the uniquely comprehensive level of testing we offer.”
Located adjacent to the city’s energy corridor, the facility has increased ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s capacity in Houston by more than 50 percent to serve Oil & Gas clients including Baker Hughes, BP, Exxon Mobil, Chevron, Serimax and Technip.
