LONDON, UK – January 16, 2015 – Element has launched a new industry-standard thermal test for the Consumer Mattress industry, providing manufacturers with greater precision in measuring important comfort- and hygiene-related properties for consumer products.Adapted from Medical Mattress industry standards, the new test enables ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ to accurately determine the heat and moisture dissipation characteristics of consumer mattresses and mattress sets. Launched at the company’s St. Paul, MN laboratory, which aided the test’s development, this testing will enable ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s clients to improve the quality and design of their end-products through higher-quality data.
Chris LaMothe, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s Executive Vice President, Transportation & Industrials, comments: “This new development is the result of many years of hard work from the Mattress Testing industry. Consumer mattress manufacturers will now be able to verify data with much more precision, allowing consumers access to products of superior quality. Moreover, the new standard is highly efficient, giving our clients quick turnaround times for testing.”
“We are delighted that our Engaged Experts at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ St. Paul, including project manager Brent Larson, were actively involved in the formulation of this new testing standard. This means we are well-placed to deliver industry-leading testing for new and existing clients.”
