LONDON, UK – May 20, 2016 – Element has further expanded its operations at its Technical Center of Excellence for Fracture Mechanics located in Breda, NL, by increasing its capacity to deliver enhanced service levels and reduced turnaround time (TAT) for its clients. Following a successful integration process, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Breda now houses the former ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Rotterdam location, adding replica, or on-site failure analysis, testing capabilities to Breda’s existing services in materials testing.

As a result of this merger, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Breda is now able to provide a full range of on-site materials testing, failure analysis and fracture mechanics testing services from one single location. The laboratory completed a significant increase in capacity and extension to materials testing capabilities in 2014, with the introduction of specialist fracture mechanics testing and 'fitness for service' Engineering Critical Assessments (ECA).

Rod Martin, ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s Executive Vice President, Oil & Gas, comments: “The strategy to increase and expand the service levels at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Breda through incorporating the Rotterdam team has been built on the long-term increase in demand for services across the two locations. This is the next step in our strategy to deliver operational excellence for clients in these local markets.

“Our focus remains on acting as a strategic partner for our clients. Whether through the addition of new capabilities in the cyclic straining and aging services in 2015 at Breda, or the recent formation of our team of Global Oil & Gas Experts, we are responding to the technical challenges within Oil & Gas to meet the commercial needs of Majors and their supply chain partners.”

ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½ Breda’s integration of the Rotterdam location was completed in early May 2016.
