London, UK – April 23, 2018 – Representatives from Ofcom, the UK’s communications regulator, will deliver the keynote address at ÌìÃÀ´«Ã½’s ‘Regulatory Compliance’ seminar on 23 May, 2018 in Oxfordshire, UK.
Amy Hemming, Market Surveillance and Enforcement Officer, and Andy Cutting, Spectrum Enforcement Policy Manager, will address the responsibilities of economic operators under the new Radio Equipment Regulations 2017. Ofcom is the enforcement authority for provisions contained in the Radio Equipment Regulations 2017 and Electronic Compatibility (EMC) Regulations 2016 concerning the making available and commissioning of radio and electrical equipment.
In addition, this free, one-day seminar will feature a round-table Q&A discussion and presentations from industry leading experts, such as Steve Hayes (former Chair of the European Union Association of Notified Bodies) and Simon Barrowcliff (Chair of UK IEC Conformity Assessment Board and UK IECEE mirror committees, and Chair of the UK ATEX Notified Body Group). Industry-specific breakout training sessions will give attendees the opportunity to discuss key areas of interest.
Topics will include CE marking, radio devices, explosive atmospheres, medical devices, the internet of things, international certification and global product approvals.
